‘83’, based on India’s 1983 Cricket World Cup victory, was originally slated to hit the silver screen on April 10, 2020. However, the producers had to postpone the release of the film due to the covid-19 crisis. Speculation was rife that ‘83’ would be released on December 83; However, the rumors have fallen down as the producers have not released any statement about the film.
The film is based on India’s historic 1983 cricket World Cup win, led by Kapil Dev. ’83’ will be released in four languages across India on the big screen.
Deepika Padukone plays Ranveer Singh’s on-screen wife in ’83. The film stars Tahir Raj Pasin, Saqib Saleem, Hardi Chandu, Sahil Katar, Chirac Patil, and Jatin Sharma in the lead roles.
After Rohit Shetty’s Suryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, if there is a chance of a film being postponed, it will be Ranveer Singh-led ‘83. The film, directed by Kabir Khan, is scheduled to release on April 10, but due to a coronavirus infection, the film is almost certain to shift to a new release date.
