Tom Hiddleston will return to his original role. Deadline reports that Amazon and the BBC have begun work on the second season of The Night Manager. In the new series, Tom Hiddleston, who played Jonathan Pine in the first part, will again play the main role, and David Farr will return to the post of screenwriter.
Filming for the sequel will take place in London and South America later this year. While Amazon and the BBC have yet to green-light new episodes, Deadline sources say The Night Manager will be booked for two seasons.
The first season of the series told about the former member of the armed forces of Great Britain Jonathan Pine. After demobilization, he gets a job as a night manager of an elite hotel. It is there that he is found and recruited by British intelligence officers to help Pine destroy a large international group specializing in the arms trade.
The action of the second season will develop in our days. Pine learns that Roper died two years ago, and he will be in mortal danger.
