COVID positive Lata Mangeshkar to remain under observation in ICU

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar is currently battling with COVID-19. She was even hospitalised in ICU in Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital on Tuesday. Her niece had informed that she was in the ICU due to precautionary reasons considering her age. However, speaking about Lata Mangeshkar health, the latest update suggests that she will continue to stay under observation in ICU and will wait and watch, as the doctor told the news agency PTI. 

Associate professor Dr Pratit Samdani said that Lata Mangeshkar also urged all to pray for her recovery. “She continues to be in the ICU under observation. We have to wait and watch. Pray for her recovery. She will continue to remain in the hospital,” added Dr Pratit Samdani. Earlier, Asha Bhosle also shared Lata Mangeshkar health update about her sister who is battling COVID 19 in the ICU at the hospital. 

The veteran singer Asha told TOI, “They aren’t allowing anybody. I went once but wasn’t allowed inside the compound itself. There are severe restrictions and protocols being followed in view of the ongoing pandemic.” Asha Bhosle added, “Besides, I too am not very well- a bit of cough and cold. I haven’t contracted COVID; just a bit under the weather.” 

Earlier, Lata’s younger sister, Usha Mangeshkar also revealed that she is unable to meet her sister as it is a Coronavirus case. Talking to the same portal, Usha said: “We cannot go to see Didi as it is a COVID case. There are sufficient doctors and nurses there, though.” Further, she said that Lata will not be discharged very soon.

RRR: Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn starrer to release in March but there’s a catch

Due to the rise in the COVID-19 cases, many filmmakers and producers had to postpone their films for later dates so that fans can enjoy the film in the theatres. One of them was SS Rajamouli’s RRR where they released a statement mentioning that they will not release the film until and unless it is safe. Well, now, the makers have once again released an official statement on the RRR release date, mentioning that they are ready to release RRR in March but there’s a catch. It says that the film will hit the theatres in March if the pandemic situation gets better.

Otherwise, they will release Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn starrer in April this year. The official statement read, “If the pandemic situation in the country gets better and all theatres open up to operate at full capacity, we are ready to release the film on 18th March. Otherwise, RRR movie will release on 28th April 2022.” Well, going by the dates, RRR will either meet Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Yash’s KGF Chapter 2 four days later, or either will release on 28th April when Baahubali: The Conclusion was released in 2017.

Reacting to the RRR release date post, a user commented, “Come At Any Time Box Office Will Be On Fire” whereas another one said, “Attt Waiting for This mass Festival.” As RRR is touted to be one of the biggest films of 2022, fans are requesting Rajamouli to release the film in March instead of April as they can’t wait any longer.

RRR was initially scheduled to release on January 7 but was postponed due to the pandemic.
