Shabaash Mithu Release Date, Star Cast, Production, Teaser, Trailer & More

Taapsee Pannu who was last seen in the sports drama Rashmi Rocket at the digital platform ZEE5 will soon be seen again in a sports film, this time she is playing the role of the legendary Indian woman cricketer Padma Shri awardee Mithali Raj, who also recently conferred with Khel Ratna Award.

Taapsee Pannu recently finished the shoot of this biopic called Shabaash Mithu, the news is given by the film’s director National Awardee Srjit Mukherji through his Twitter handle @srijitspeaketh, Let you know that earlier national film award winner Parzani (2007) director was to direct the film but couldn’t do so owing to the date scheduled.

The shooting of Shabaash Mithu was started in April this year and after the on & Off production of the film because of the corona pandemic, it finally wrapped up in November 2021. Now mark the date for its release ‘4 February 2022’.

Director Srijit Mukherji informed on Nov, 9 that they have completed the shoot.

Shabaash Mithu Makers

Other than Tapsee Pannu who is playing Mithali Raj’s character in the film, Richard Bhakti Klein as a journalist role and Gultesham as Cricketer also featuring in the film. Shaabash Mithu is written by Priya Aven and made under the banner of the production companies Colosceum Media and Viacom 18.

The Teaser is expected in a few weeks and the Trailer of the film will be released by Dec 2021 or Jan 2022. Taapsee also recently updated about the film’s production through her Instagram post.

Taapsee Pannu will be seen next in the Aakash Bhatia’s Loop Lapeta, she will also be featured alongside with Scam 1992 fame Pratik Gandhi the film’s title is called Wo Ladki Hai Kahan, and the known director of Bollywood Anurag Kashyap directorial Dobaaraa.

Srijit Mukherjee who is the director of Shabaash Mithu he is now ready with his next project called Sherdil where Pankaj Tripathi will be featuring in the lead role, Neeraj Kabi and Sayani Gupta are among the other star cast.
